Nightshade (Andrea Cremer)

Hiya, guys!  I just felt like posting something at the moment because I am currently hanging out at the local library while my mother goes to car garage or whatever it's called.

I'm reading a new book called Nightshade by Andrea Cremer.  It's pretty good so far.  I happened to come across this book while in Barnes and Nobles a few weeks back and I read the back summary.  I guess you could say that it drew me in.  It's about "werewolves."  Sorta.  The main character, who's perspective it's written from, is named Calla and she is a female Guardian alpha wolf who, after graduating from the mountain school, will become the mate of another Guardian alpha, Renier Laroche.  In the beginning of the book it starts out with the day she saved a mysterious and handsome human boy from being mauled by a bear.  Apparently she isn't supposed to save humans or even care about them, but there's just something about this one boy that makes her feel like she has too.
She saves him, then later on at school the same boy, who's name is revealed to be Shay Doran, is transferring into the school.  She starts to freak thinking that this could not be happening.  Ren is also a student at the school, as well as Bryn, Calla's best friend, and the Nightshade and Bane packs.  In October it so happens that Ren and Calla will be united through a special Union so the two alphas agree that it might be best to unite their packs now instead of have a hard time later.  It's not so hard in the end to do this, and they all go to this party/dance club together.  Calla and Ren soon find out that Shay is their as well and start to question why he is turning up in front of them so frequently.  Shay's uncle is this guy named Bosque, who is supposed to be some big shot guy I think, and the Keepers, who I don't exactly know that much about, try to please his every whim.
When Calla decides to go outside for some fresh air from the hectic chaos inside, Shay also goes outside and they have a little friendly chat, even though Calla is unwilling to, but also wanting to talk to him, about school.  They decide to go to a coffee shop to talk some more, when two "muggers" start to follow them.  Later Calla recognized them to be Searchers and kills one of them, knocking the other unconscious.  The remaining searcher is brought back to Efron and Lumine, the two pack's Keepers, to be questioned.  That is about as far as I have read into the book.  So if you seem interested in what has happened so far, feel free to go check it out!

hola katherine! okay so this comment has nothing to do with this blog post, i didn't even read it. sorry. anyways, what i'm writing this comment for is to tell you that the thing that says what your visitor number is is grammatically incorrect. it's bugging me. it says you're visitor number but it needs to say your visitor number! so technically you're saying that you are a visitor number....and last time i checked, you aren't.:)
just so you know..i'm not trying to sound like an annoying prick who corrects people all the time, i'm just telling ya! (:
